Official Certifications and International Accreditations
These certifications are much more than a guarantee for those seeking a quality education. They are proof that all our students receive a first-rate and advanced educational experience.
AQU Accreditation
Esade Business School and Esade Law School have had Institutional Accreditation granted by the Catalan University Quality Assurance Agency (AQU) since 2019. In fact, they were among the first schools in the Catalan university system to earn this official accreditation.
Triple crown
Our Business School has the distinction of having earned the triple crown of international business school accreditations: AACSB, EQUIS, and AMBA. This is a major achievement and one that sets us apart: only 1% of the world’s business schools have it.
BSIS Label
Esade is also a BSIS-labeled school. This label, awarded by EFMD, assesses our social impact, innovative outlook, and numbers of international students.
Esade Program Quality and Development Unit (QDP)
An Expert Quality Assurance Team
Since its founding, more than 60 years ago, quality has been one of our fundamental pillars. Accordingly, we have a dedicated internal team tasked with:
Ensuring the academic quality of each of our programs
Making sure that they are aligned with our values, mission, and pedagogical model
Pursuing the continuous improvement of our degree programs, teaching activity, research, and management
Helping to deliver a top-quality classroom experience to students

How we ensure quality
1. Internal Quality Assurance System
Our internal quality assurance system (IQAS) was certified by AQU Catalunya (the Catalan University Quality Agency) in December 2019. This recognition shows that Esade ensures the proper functioning of the processes of verification, monitoring, modification, and accreditation of degrees that guarantees continuous improvement.
Structure of the IQAS:
- Definition of quality policy.
- Quality of training programs.
- Development of training programs that favor student learning.
- Quality of academic and administrative staff.
- Quality of material resources and services.
- Collection and analysis of results for improving training programs.
- Public information and accountability for training programs.
2. IQAS monitoring reports
The QDP team ensures that IQAS processes are met through the preparation of monitoring reports. These reports guarantee the validity of the regulations and organizational structure.
3. Academic-Teaching Quality and Innovation Unit (UQIAD-URL)
Esade participates in the Academic-Teaching Quality and Innovation Unit of the Ramon Llull University (UQIAD-URL) and is represented by the QDP unit director. Members of the Esade QDP unit also participate in the quality, official titles, and qualification committees of Ramon Llull University.
What we evaluate
At Esade we are committed to guaranteeing the highest quality both in our degrees and in our teaching team.
1. Qualification quality
One of the functions of QDP is the verification, monitoring, modification, and accreditation of official qualifications (AQU Catalunya framework) and our own (Ramon Llull University).
This process is developed in five major sections:
1. Design and development of official qualifications (AQU Catalunya) and our own qualifications (Ramon Llull University), as well as program management in accordance with regulations.
2. Monitoring reports
Preparation of monitoring reports for the evaluation of official programs that are based on an analysis of data and indicators – and the preparation of proposals for improvement.
3. Internal audits
Preparation of internal audits of our own qualifications (Ramon Llull University), for the continuous improvement of these programs based on an analysis of data and indicators.
4. Monitoring
Program monitoring analyzes the following key points:
- Quality of the training program.
- Relevance of public information.
- Effectiveness of the internal quality assurance system for the qualification.
- Suitability of teaching staff for the training program.
- Effectiveness of learning support systems.
- Quality of training program results.
2. Quality of faculty
Esade is part of Ramon Llull University and therefore we annually evaluate our teaching staff following the Teaching Evaluation Manual. Our aim is to guarantee the highest quality teaching.
