Rambla Projects
TECH2X
APRIL 2025 - APRIL 2027
The Technology for innovation and entrepreneurship excellence (TECH2X) project aims to boost the innovation and entrepreneurial capacity of the consortium’s HEIs to foster deep tech talent and respond to the need to transition towards the 4th generation university model. Through practice-based collaborations both within, between and beyond our institutions we intend to create a scalable initiative for excellent science-based innovation.
The actions and activities in TECH2X are designed to strengthen innovation and entrepreneurship capacity at institutional level, fostering pathways between challenge-based innovation courses that are technology driven, and entrepreneurship capacity building to move forward promising projects.
TECH2X also offers several initiatives to strengthen partnerships, aligning strategic interests to move deep-tech potential out of the laboratory and into an environment where it can be taken up and applied by those most willing and capable of capturing its value.

AI Accelerator
2024 & 2025 EDITIONS
As part of the actions organized by the RDI-IA Network —the artificial intelligence (AI) technology transfer network of Catalonia - the AI Accelerator program responds to the need to transform research into business projects, promoting the creation of spin-offs based on technologies developed in Catalan centers. The purpose of the program is to offer training and support in entrepreneurship specialized in business and the creation of spin-offs, aimed at research teams that are members of the Network.
The training program offered by Esade eWorks is delivered over three main phases:
- Business validation (2 months): verification of the value proposition, identification of use cases and validation of the business model, with the possibility of incorporating new profiles into the team. (manager: Esade)
- Incubation (3 months): development of the business plan and creation of a prototype or MVP to test in the market. (manager: Esade)
- Demo Day (MWC/4YFN): presentation of the projects to the ecosystem of investors, corporations and technological agents to attract capital and establish synergies.
ATTRACT2
2022- 2025
The ATTRACT Phase 2 project aims to bridge the gap between breakthrough detection and imaging technologies developed in fundamental research and their potential applications in industry and society. The initiative supports early-stage innovation by funding and mentoring projects with high disruptive potential, fostering a European deep tech ecosystem that connects research, industry, investors, and society.
As part of the project, the Rambla of Innovation’s Fusion Lab ran 3 programs under the ATTRACT Academy, designed to create a new generation of young entrepreneurs who perceive co-innovation between academia, research infrastructures and commercial organizations as a natural way of working. The focus of our programs in the Academy lies on enabling interdisciplinary collaboration, design-driven innovation, and entrepreneurship education in the context of real-world technological challenges.

Teach-BEASTs
2022- 2025
The Teach-BEASTs project – Teaching to BE Aware Students – focuses on promoting innovative practices in learning and teaching. Academic institutions must adapt their university offerings to the real needs of the job market. To achieve this, faculty must continuously improve their professional skills. This involves constantly seeking new teaching methods, improving their curricula, sparking their students' imagination and interest, and helping them produce engaging and interesting work.
The project aims to support teachers in planning course content based on professional identities related to the field of study (professional curricula), taking into account current labor market needs. The project will develop teachers' skills in using techniques, methods, and tools to raise students' awareness of the need to continuously explore their current interests, their potential connections to passions, and their relationship to labor market needs during vocational training courses. Finally, the collaboration will focus on preparing STEM teachers for the transition to a project-based learning model using the Skills Development (SD) framework. This train-the-trainer workshop will shape their ability to tailor the content provided to the specific field of study in which the subject is taught.
