In 2024, Esade achieved neutrality in its scope 1 and 2 emissions
Since the 2019-20 academic year, Esade has been calculating, verifying and registering its emissions with the Ministry of Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge (Scopes 1, 2 and 3) and has the "Reduzco" seal. In just five courses, we have achieved emissions neutrality in scopes 1 and 2!
How we did it:

Emissions offsetting:
- Catalonia: Pool of credits available through registration in the voluntary agreements of the regional government, in the case of projects of a social nature.
- Spain: Sustainable Forests Project, registered with Spain’s Ministry of Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge — a national reforestation project.
- Voluntary market: Cykel Project (Pará, Brazil) that includes aspects including reforestation, wildlife recovery and social issues.
Today, we are one of the first university institutions to achieve neutrality at the national and international level! Together we can achieve even more. Are you with us?

Esade has a community of retired professors and professionals who still work actively with the institution
Esade Magistri brings together professors and senior professionals who want to stay connected to Esade and contribute their expertise after retirement.
Its members contribute their knowledge and experience by offering advice to Esade and its current faculty. They also participate in meetings and activities that help them maintain their bonds with each other and with Esade.
Esade Magistri’s first meeting was held in February 2024. The initiative allows us to pay tribute to — and continue to benefit from — their excellent academic careers, human qualities, and scientific work.
