Experts on business internationalisation to gather in Greece for a conference organised by EBGC, an initiative that includes ESADE
“Open 4 Business: The SME Growth Story, a conference organised by the European Business Growth Catalyst (EBGC), will focus on the topic of how to successfully internationalise a small or medium-sized enterprise (SME). The conference, to be held on 11th September at ALBA Graduate Business School (Greece), will provide entrepreneurs with essential tools to help them succeed in their expansion efforts.
“Nowadays, being an entrepreneur isn’t enough. SMEs have to understand the need to prepare and develop an action plan if they want to internationalise successfully, commented Xavier Mendoza, Associate Professor in the Department of Strategy and General Management at ESADE and Director of the Observatory of Spanish Multinational Companies (OEME). Prof. Mendoza will participate in “Open 4 Business: The SME Growth Story with a talk on how SMEs can internationalise quickly, without being limited by their size, by identifying and seizing opportunities in the international market.
At “Open 4 Business: The SME Growth Story, business owners and academics will showcase a variety of approaches to internationalisation. Presentations will range from first-hand accounts of successful internationalisation – including step-by-step advice about developing an expansion strategy – to an interactive session in which participants will have the chance to share advice, doubts and experiences.
EBGC is a programme organised by ESADE Business School, the University of Sheffield (United Kingdom), the Consultancy Academy (United Kingdom), Inova Consulting (United Kingdom), ALBA (Greece) and Pinaforte (Spain). Its goal is to provide SMEs and microcompanies with the tools they need to analyse their business and grow on a large scale.
