Esade strengthens its Scholarship Program with more than €5 million to promote equal opportunities
Working to ensure that no talented student is excluded for financial reasons has been part of Esade’s educational project since its foundation. With this objective, the institution has allocated more than €5 million to its Scholarship Program for the 2025–2026 academic year, enabling 267 students to enroll at Esade and pursue their academic training.
During the scholarship award ceremony, Esade Director General Daniel Traça highlighted that this initiative represents a firm commitment to talent and to the future of society: “If we truly believe in meaningful impact, access to education should depend on talent, commitment and character, not on the economic circumstances into which we were born.”
Traça emphasized that scholarships not only recognize students’ effort and potential, but also represent a collective investment in a fairer society with greater social mobility. “The support our students receive is recognition of their talent, but also an investment in a better future for everyone,” he noted.
Currently, in Undergraduate and Double Degree programs, 7.2% of students receive a scholarship, with an average coverage of 87% of tuition costs. These figures reflect Esade’s sustained commitment to equal opportunities and to an educational model that values talent, effort and commitment, regardless of students’ economic background.
A community that creates opportunities
Anna Xicoy, President of the Board of Trustees of the Esade Foundation, stated that scholarships represent a concrete expression of the values that inspire the institution’s educational project: “The Scholarship Program is not just a number. It is a declaration of principles: talent must have opportunities”.
Xicoy also recalled that this initiative is rooted in Esade’s founding tradition and in the values of the Society of Jesus, which view leadership as a responsibility oriented toward the common good. “We want to educate leaders who do not only seek professional success, but who understand their leadership as a form of service”, she added.
She also emphasized that the program reflects the strength of the Esade community: a network of donors, alumni, companies and foundations that, through their commitment, contributes to generating opportunities, promoting social mobility and transforming life trajectories. In total, 447 individual donors and 93 partner organizations support different initiatives promoted by the institution, including the Scholarship Program, which has become one of the school’s strategic pillars.
In this edition, 20 ‘named’ scholarships were awarded: 18 promoted by partner organizations, one promoted by the Esade Law School Professional Council and one Future Scholarship made possible thanks to the contribution of two individual donors.
Scholarship recipients are enrolled in different university programs at the school: 56 in the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), 29 in the Double Degree in Business Administration and Law, 44 in the Double Degree in Law & Global Governance, 25 in the Bachelor in Global Governance, Economics & Legal Order, 24 in the Bachelor in Law, 21 in the Bachelor in Transformational Leadership and Social Impact, 20 in the Bachelor in Business and Artificial Intelligence and 14 in the Double Degree in BBA & Global Governance.
The program also includes financial aid for postgraduate studies. In the 2025–2026 academic year, 14 scholarships have been awarded for Master of Science (MSc) students, 15 for the Master’s Degree in Legal Practice (MUA), 3 for the MBA and 2 for the Executive MBA.
