ESADE Business School’s Full-Time MBA is among the top 20 programmes in the world, according to the latest MBA ranking published by the Financial Times. ESADE’s #17 showing in the ranking was made possible, in particular, by the professional development and salary increase obtained by ESADE’s graduates, categories in which the school was ranked #2 in the world and #3 in Europe, respectively.

“The ESADE MBA provides a different experience to students,” commented Josep Franch, Dean of ESADE Business School. Dr. Franch underscored the international outlook of the programme, which is taught entirely in English and has students of 48 different nationalities. “Another key characteristic of the programme is its flexibility,” added Dr. Franch. “You can complete the course in 12, 15 or 18 months, and in the 15- and 18-month versions you have the opportunity to study abroad at prestigious business schools all over the world and to complete an internship at one of more than 50 multinationals, where many former interns go on to secure permanent employment.” Making reference to ESADE’s Student First educational model – which offers the latest advances in digital technology as well as an educational ecosystem that combines experimentation, simulation, learning and the business world – Dr. Franch added: “These factors, combined with ESADE’s teaching methodology, have helped to make ESADE’s MBA one of the world’s top 20 programmes.”

Diversity and internationalisation

The ESADE Business School MBA class of 2018 has a total of 190 students, 94% of whom are international (30% from Europe, 29% from Latin America, 25% from Asia, 15% from North America and 1% from Africa). Students have an average age of 28 years and five and a half years of experience in a variety of sectors (industry, finance, business, consulting, public sector, NGOs, etc.) and functional areas (management, marketing, sales, information systems and operations). Thanks to this diversity, plus the fact that the students share a campus with the Bachelor in Business Administration and the various MSc in Management programmes at the ESADECREAPOLIS innovation centre, the students in ESADE’s MBA enjoy a 360º learning experience.

The aspects of the MBA valued most highly by the participants are the personalised attention and programme design, the internationalisation of the faculty and students, the career development possibilities, and the assistance provided by ESADE to help bring entrepreneurial ideas to life and to address real-life challenges in the personal and business spheres.
