72% of MBA students secure employment with companies that attend ESADE's recruitment fairs
Recruitment events play a key role in ESADE, which as an academic institution boasts very good job-placement figures. For example, 88% of MBA students secure employment within three months of graduating, and 72% of the MBA class of 2014 found a job at one of the many companies that visit ESADE for recruitment purposes. Key sectors that employ a large proportion of MBA graduates include finance (15%) and consulting (13%).
The picture is similar for ESADE’s MSc graduates, 94% of whom find work within three months of graduating (23% in the consulting industry). Similar trends are also seen in the school’s other degree programmes, including the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), in which 90% of students find a job within three months of graduating.
Internationalisation is another key point: the 157 students in the Full-Time MBA class of 2014 hailed from 48 different countries, and 67% of students in the 2014 MSc were international. Moreover, ESADE’s graduates find work in all corners of the globe.
“Career Forums are an excellent opportunity for students to learn about specific job opportunities, meet representatives of companies in various sectors and countries, and find out more about the companies and how they operate, commented Iain McLoughlin, Director of Career Services at ESADE.
Industry-specific events
Every year, well-known companies in a wide range of sectors visit ESADE to recruit talent. This year, the university has decided to organise industry-specific events in accordance with the recruitment periods that kick off the selection process in each sector (consulting and financial services being the industries that begin the earliest).
Companies such as Allianz, JP Morgan, CITI, Barclays, CACEIS Bank Luxembourg and Credit Suisse attend recruitment sessions with students from the BBA, MSc and CEMS programmes. The Business and Management Recruitment Fair, in which double-degree students also participate, features appearances by companies such as Desigual, Hilton and Henkel. Some of these companies also attend the specific fair organised for MBA students, which also attracts a variety of more atypical organisations, such as Caja de los Andes (a non-profit organisation founded in 1953), ADP Streamline (a provider of a payroll-outsourcing solution), and Social Point (a social network game developer for Facebook and mobile devices).
These recruitment events are attended by a majority of the students in all of ESADE’s programmes, and each year new companies from various industries and geographical regions express interest in attending these events.
