Santander and Esade launch 2,500 Santander Upskill your Talent Scholarships to boost transversal skills, crucial for better job prospects

Digital transformation has given rise to unprecedented changes in the job market. New IT jobs have been created but now, transversal skills are more sought-after than ever by companies. So Banco Santander, through Santander Universities and in conjunction with Esade, is offering 2,500 Santander – Esade Upskill your Talent Scholarships to boost the soft skills so crucial for better job prospects.

This programme consists of seven modules, 6 to 8 hours long, that can be taken in Spanish, English or Portuguese as the participant wishes. Each course will work on skills such as leadership, creativity, personal productivity, influence and emotional intelligence, negotiating, communicating and complex problem and decision taking.

Open to students aged over 18 who are residents or nationals of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Germany, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Uruguay, USA and the United Kingdom, this programme is 100% online and based on the learning by doing experiential teaching method which combines theory and practice.

The range of skills will include assertive team coordination and leadership, creative responses to project problems or shortcomings, use of new methods to facilitate processes, greater ability to influence working teams, customers and stakeholders, and effective communication by choosing appropriate channels and messages for different recipients.

Participants will receive a completion certificate providing they complete the programme satisfactorily and perform all the tasks and activities put forward during the programme. On-going assessment based on assignments, deliverables and self-evaluations will determine participants’ objective and measurable results.
