Over 70 multinationals are seeking new talent at ESADE: 90% of alumni find work within three months of graduating
Although job offers have slackened and the number of candidates applying for any given post has risen, there are still jobs to be had in several sectors. The most recent data published in Spain’s EPA survey of the working population reveals growing interest by both domestic and international companies to recruit talented Spaniards.
Fully 90% of ESADE’s Full-Time MBA (Class of 2013) and 91% of Business Management-BBA graduates (Class of 2011-2012) found work in leading world firms within three months of graduating.
"The ESADE Career Forum" is in full swing. The Forum is an event attended by over 70 multinationals seeking to recruit new professionals from the School’s students. Google, Amazon, Vodafone, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Roland Berger, Santander, Desigual, L’Oréal, Novartis and Clinton Heath Access Initiative are just some of the firms snapping up ESADE students to build their management teams.
Opportunities abroad
Working abroad is an increasingly popular option for furthering one’s career. That is true of ESADE MBA graduates and those with highly specialised profiles in Finance and in International Management (MSc). No less than 81% of the School’s MBA graduates are snapped up by international companies to occupy management posts anywhere in the world.
By regions, the breakdown of graduate postings is as follows: 67% stay in Europe; 10% go to Latin America; 11% to Asia; 7% to the US and Canada; 5% to The Middle East. The latest ESADE MBA placement data yields the following breakdown by sectors: Consulting (22%); Financial Services (18%); Technology (13%); Pharmacy, Biotechnology and Health (12%); Mass Consumption (10%); Other Industries (25%).
No less than 80% of ESADE MSc students end up working abroad — mainly in Germany, The United Kingdom, Switzerland and France.
Wanted: Talented people with a global mindset
The companies taking part in the Career Forum are looking for people with good grades, languages and above all, a strong global profile and the ability to adapt to fast-changing business settings.
The ESADE Full-Time MBA ‘Class of 2013’ is highly international — no less than 95% of students come from abroad. These are drawn from 43 countries across the world: Africa (2%); Asia (17%); Europe (38%); the US and Canada (14%), Latin America (19%); The Middle East (10%).
A highlight in the recruitment calendar
The ESADE Career Forum is a highlight in multinationals’ recruitment calendar. The school gives firms preferential access to its top talent and headhunting expertise.
Unlike in previous editions, this year features two career forums rolled into one. There is the forum aimed at MBA students and the one for BBA, ‘Bologna’ and CEMS Masters programmes. Holding both events at the same time and in the same place is highly popular with companies and is a special feature of the ESADE event. It means firms can find a much wider range of candidates and experience when finding the right person for the job.
