ESADE MSc in Finance ranked #6 in the world by the Financial Times

According to a new ranking of pre-experience master’s degrees in finance published today by the Financial Times, ESADE’s Bologna-compatible MSc in Finance is #6 in the world and among the top programmes offered by the main business schools in Spain.

The ESADE MSc in Finance took 1st place worldwide in the category of career advancement in finance. Other aspects of the programme that received high scores from the Financial Times include the services ESADE provides to help students find work at international companies (#6 worldwide) and the development of skills to enable students to work anywhere in the world (#7 worldwide).

#1 worldwide in career advancement

ESADE’s Bologna-compatible MSc in Finance is #1 in the world in the category of post-graduation career advancement. The Financial Times measures alumni advancement in terms of position within the company, learning experience, and the attainment of goals set at the start of the programme.

More than 90% of participants in ESADE’s MSc in Finance secure employment within three months of graduating; of these, 45% find a job outside their country of origin. Most graduates go to work for major international financial institutions (76%), or for large multinational companies or prestigious consulting firms (17%), including Bank of America, Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Deloitte, PARIBAS, JP Morgan, McKinsey, EY and PwC.

 

Career guidance and international experience

The aspects of the ESADE programme most highly valued by the Financial Times include the guidance provided by the school to ensure that students get important jobs at international companies, as well as the experience acquired during the programme.

The multicultural nature of ESADE’s classrooms was viewed as an added value for participants, who acquire a global outlook that enables them to occupy executive posts anywhere in the world. Ninety percent of the participants in the MSc in Finance are international, representing 33 different nationalities.

ESADE organises various recruitment fairs with leading financial institutions. This year, the Financial Services Recruitment Fair featured the participation of top companies such as Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Barclays, BBVA, Citi, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley and Société Générale. Another major fair organised by EASDE this year was the Consultancy Recruitment Fair, which featured the participation of consulting firms such as Accenture, Bain & Company, Deloitte, Delta Partners, EY, Everis, KPMG, McKinsey, PwC, Roland Berger and Boston Consulting Group.
