Poets&Quants has acknowledged the Esade full-time MBA as the best in Europe for the third year running and 4th in the world in their latest Best MBA Programs for Entrepreneurship ranking. Major contributing factors to these positions are the syllabus of the program and the entrepreneurial ecosystem on the campus where it is taught (#1 Europe). In the words of Josep Franch, dean of Esade Business School, “entrepreneurship is in our DNA and this particular acknowledgement is a massive boost to the syllabus of the Esade Full-Time MBA. The students on this MBA approach entrepreneurship from an innovative and disruptive viewpoint because it encourages the creation, evolution and implementation of all sorts of business ideas, thanks to the training, skill development and countless resources and tools that Esade makes available to them.”

With regard to the Esade FT MBA, the US journal also emphasised the percentage of faculty teaching subjects specialised in entrepreneurship and innovation (35%), the percentage of students taking at least one of these subjects during their studies (97%), and the percentage of students that work in start-ups after completing their studies (32%). In all these categories, Esade Business School ranked #1 in the world: a clear indication of the entrepreneurial vocation of the entire program.

Enterprise-oriented syllabus

Seventy-five percent of the teachers on the Full-Time MBA are or have been directly involved in the world of enterprise, and the syllabus includes, amongst other things, a variety of optional subjects in this field such as ‘VC & Entrepreneurial Finance’; ‘Social Entrepreneurship & Impact Investing’; ‘From Innovation to Cash Flows’; ‘Corporate innovation through entrepreneurship’; ‘Intrapreneurship, Corporate Venturing and Innovation Ecosystems’ and ‘Global Sales Strategies’. Students can also take part in the Esade Entrepreneurship Lab: an opportunity to carry out activities related to enterpreneurship such as visits to companies, study tours of other entrepreneurial ecosystems around the globe, and meetings with successful investors and entrepreneurs. Building on this experience, 8% set up their own company.

Esade, a benchmark entrepreneurial ecosystem

In addition to its FT MBA, Esade provides all its students with a comprehensive enterprise ecosystem with everything they need to create, develop and launch their projects and companies, and make them grow quickly and successfully, including big spaces for work, research and sharing knowledge such as the Esade Entrepreneurship Institute and the Rambla de la Innovación.Esade has achieved international recognition in the field of entrepreneurship and this is why students choose to study on our Sant Cugat campus to be part of a unique entrepreneurial ecosystem that also focuses particularly on the impact of the companies being developed there, in both business and social terms”, concluded Franch.

The Esade Entrepreneurship Institute is a center dedicated to entrepreneurial initiative, through research, teaching, outreach and the creation of new business projects. Located in the EEI is eWorks, a program to help students and recent graduates create new companies, promote their projects and present them to investors in initiatives such as the eWorks Accelerator.

Meanwhile, the Esade Rambla de la Innovación brings together different learning laboratories that combine education with innovation and experimentation. This is a circular path that goes from the concept (Fusion Point) to researching and testing the feasibility of the idea (Decision Lab), making prototypes (Fab Lab), defining the business model (eGarage and Finance lab) and, finally, to launching the company.
