ESADE Law School recently signed new collaboration agreements with Vienna University of Economics and Business, Trinity College Dublin, Queen’s University and the Catholic University  of Portugal, bringing its total number of agreements with international law schools to 50. The aim of the new agreements is to allow students in ESADE’s Bachelor in Law + Bachelor in Global Governance and Master in International Business Law to develop an international outlook and gain experience abroad.

Vienna University of Economics and Business – a prestigious European university that has been a pioneer in issues of innovation and global development – will partner with ESADE Law School to offer the Joint Certificate in International and Business Law (Themis Programme).

Trinity College Dublin – one of the world’s top institutions for social sciences and alma mater of the writer James Joyce – will also be partnering with ESADE to offer joint programmes through its School of Law. Trinity has received numerous awards and is ranked as one of the world’s top universities.

ESADE has also reached an agreement with Queen’s University. With more than 50 years of experience teaching law, Queen’s is one of Canada’s most prestigious destinations for prospective lawyers.

Finally, the Catholic University of Portugal, known for its excellence in the field of law, has also entered into a partnership with ESADE.

With the addition of these new partners in Austria, Ireland, Canada and Portugal, ESADE now has agreements with law schools at more than 50 universities around the world, including the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Paris II.

International plan

Known as “the passport to an international career”, the Bachelor in Law + Bachelor in Global Governance is a double degree programme whose multidisciplinary curriculum includes subjects on law, international relations, geopolitics and economics. Students start learning various languages – English, French, German and Mandarin Chinese – during their first year in the programme.

Thanks to the new expansion plan, ESADE Law School will be able to offer more international exchange opportunities, allowing students to travel the world while completing their studies. The new agreements are expected to allow around 200 students to study abroad each year (100 foreign students coming to ESADE and 100 ESADE students going to other countries).

Specialisation in internationalisation, geopolitics and economics

Thanks to these new partnerships with schools around the world, ESADE Law School will be expanding its exchange programmes and intensive modules in foreign countries. Students in the Bachelor in Global Governance at ESADE Law School will have the chance to do professional internships and specialise in the politics, economics and law of a particular geographic area: Asia; the Maghreb and the Middle East; Latin America; or the United Kingdom, the United States and Australia.

The programme also includes institutional visits in Europe at various times during the year as well as overseas modules at various top-tier law schools, including Boston College Law School (Boston), Cardozo School of Law (New York) and the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
