Esade Executive Education has joined the Future of Management Education (FOME), an international network of business schools focussed on innovation in education and the development of digital programmes. This participation confirms Esade’s commitment to the on-going design of the people-oriented education of the future and will enable them to exchange knowledge with other FOME members whose online and hybrid courses are acknowledged to be amongst the best in the world.

Josep Franch, director of Esade Executive Education, highlighted that the teaching methodology and experience at Esade focusses on participants, personal change and skill development. “Joining FOME heightens this strategic commitment by giving us a unique opportunity to exchange knowledge, experience and projects with other members of an international network of excellence”, he explained. “This collaboration makes a valuable contribution to our mission of training responsible leaders able to handle the changes triggered by the digital revolution and make a positive impact on society.”

Enzo Peruffo, associate dean for Education & Partnership at Luiss Business School, the school now holding the presidency of FOME, was delighted to welcome Esade to the alliance: “Together, we'll continue to catalyze digitally innovative business education and shape the future of management education worldwide. Esade has a strong commitment to innovation and collaboration. Their expertise and contributions will undoubtedly enrich our collective efforts”.

Working party on Edtech and Innovation

FOME, founded in 2018 and promoted by Imperial College London, seeks to promote online and immersive training experiences in the field of business. The global alliance provides a platform for members to share data-driven knowledge, experiences and new teaching methods from an international and collaborative perspective, enabling Esade to access the knowledge amassed by twelve schools on five continents, with a view to giving Executive Education students and participants an educational experience with a wealth of content, tools, methodologies and approaches stemming from international, multicultural programmes using different technologies.

Esade is the only Spanish business school in the association and is represented by Marc Cortés, director of Digitalisation and Teaching Innovation at Esade Executive Education. He will head the FOME Edtech and Innovation working party. Amongst other things, this working party aims to pinpoint new technology trends and opportunities, to explore the possibilities of the metaverse in order to fully exploit its potential, and to apply advanced analytics to improve data-driven decision taking in the sphere of education.

Joining this alliance consolidates the standing of Executive Education at Esade, acknowledged for the second year running to be the fourth best business school in the world for executive programmes, according to the Financial Times. It also broadens Esade’s international connections as a member of the main educational networks and associations around the globe.
