ESADE Alumni appoints new Executive Board
ESADE Alumni has appointed a new Executive Board, chaired by Joaquín Uriach, that includes five new ESADE graduates who will draw on their experience in the business world to continue to strengthen the association.
The new board members are Miguel Torres, General Manager of Bodegas Torres; Ginés Alarcón, President of NAE, Magda Malé; Change Management Director at Coca-Cola Iberian Partners; Josep Salvatella, founder and CEO of RocaSalvatella; and Pedro Parada, Associate Professor and Director of the Department of Strategy and General Management at ESADE.
With the addition of these new board members, ESADE Alumni continues along a new course that was set last September with the appointment of Joaquín Uriach as the association’s president and the launch of the 2015-2018 Strategic Plan. The incoming members will strengthen the Executive Board by drawing on their professional experience to support the lines set out in the Strategic Plan with regard to personalisation, digitisation, globalisation, and the links between society and the business world.
With 56,000 alumni and nearly 18,000 members distributed throughout more than 100 countries, ESADE Alumni works relentlessly to expand its international network. The association’s business angels network, ESADE BAN, is another source of remarkable figures: by allocating €4.7 million in funds to 33 start-ups over the past year, the group has doubled its annual investment figure. In recognition of its accomplishments, ESADE BAN was named the country’s best business angels network by the Spanish Business Angels Association. Additionally, in keeping with our values of solidarity and support for society, ESADE Alumni has been organising Alumni Giving Back since 2007. As part of this project – the first of its kind in Europe – more than 1,500 alumni have voluntarily contributed their talent, experience and management skills to 170 third-sector companies.
