"Studying Law at ESADE allowed me to do more than simply acquire knowledge"

the development of skills has been what really made the difference in my professional career. I didn't just study; the different activities, work experience and seminars had a great impact on my training, and made me a multidisciplinary, highly adaptable person.

I would also like to highlight my experience at the NGO Reprieve: for four months I worked in a legal practice in Houston, helping Mexican prisoners on death row. This is a good example of the type of experience ESADE can offer you.

Accessing the Legal Profession

With regard to university degrees in Law, in addition to the changes involved in the European Higher Education Area, a royal decree was approved in October 2006 stipulating that, in order to practise as a lawyer, Law students must complete a Master's degree and formally conduct legal internships as a prerequisite of the Bar Exams. This regulation has been established with several objectives in mind, including:

. Facilitating the exercise of the profession in the international arena: Spain was the only EU country not to have regulated access to the legal profession.
. Ensuring higher training standards for lawyers and solicitors.
