Institute for Labor Studies
Esade’s Institute for Labor Studies (IEL) is a research group recognised by the Catalan University and Research Grant Management Agency (AGAUR) that aims to analyse the labor market and labor regulations. The IEL’s research contributions help forge a labor relations model based on job quality and sustainable growth.
The IEL is Esade’s oldest research institute. It was founded in the 1960s by Fr. Juan Garcia-Nieto as a collaborating centre of the International Labour Organization (ILO). Over the years, the IEL has maintained its founding commitment to modernity, scientific rigour, respect for others and a universal vocation.
