Company management in Europe

In this ESADE Summer School programme, participants expand their knowledge of the European economy and learn to use management tools that favour doing business in the European Union.

This course is recommended for students:

Pursuing a bachelor in Economics or Business Management.

ESADE company management in Europe

This programme consists of an introductory session and three modules, and includes two visits to companies.

Introductory session: On the first morning, students are given a brief overview of major events in Catalan and Spanish history in order to familiarise them with the place where they will live for the following four weeks. The students are then taken on a tour of Barcelona.
Module 1: This 20-hour module covers the Spanish economy and the institutions and economy of the European Union. Its purpose is to introduce students to the main characteristics of the economic and institutional context in which Spanish companies do business.

Module 2: This 32-hour module focuses on international finance and international marketing.

Module 3: This 8-hour module explores the cultural differences that may arise during negotiations in a management context.
