In the SUD we believe that anyone linked to ESADE can find a space in university co-operation, both on the ground and here (see Alumni Giving Back projects).
STUDENTS: The SUD proposes two possible types of service for students:
- Co-operation periods in countries of the south. Carrying out "solidarity internships" in SMEs, microcredit banks, co-operatives, etc. or in legal aid centres or institutes of human rights (intended for fourth-year Management and Law students). Carrying out these internships in the summer leads to the awarding of 6 credits by the Career Services.
- Carrying out voluntary work in the north in ESADE or in other institutions of our environment. (Intended for students from all years).
FACULTY: Lecturers act as "visiting lecturers" in several Central American Universities and tutor research and consultancy projects:
- Collaborate on the training of teachers and professionals in the countries of the south.
- Supervise doctoral theses.
- Open up joint lines of research which tackle the north-south problems.
- Collaborate by tutoring the students on the "solidarity internships" programme and supervise dissertations.
PAS (Administrative & Services Staff):
Projects of cooperation or exchange are held between professionals of Southern universities and ESADE (with preference for the requests from the universities of the south).
ALUMNI:
The Alumni can contribute to the projects of the SUD in different ways:
- With their expertise (advice on projects on the ground or from here)
(see Alumni Giving Back).
- Contributing funds, helping to identify fund-raising lines, etc.
