Campus

At its inception, ESADE was located in a small building in Barcelona's Grācia neighbourhood that housed the first 34 students of the Undergraduate Programme in Business Administration and Management. The year was 1958, and that first inroad into the world of future executive training was rewarded with the growing recognition of the country's business sector, which led its founders to relocated the facilities to the Catalonian capital's Avenida de Pedralbes, where the institutions' main offices are still currently located.

Since that time, ESADE has grown in capacity and educational offerings, in initiatives and research projects, as well as in human resources and potential. This intense development has led, over the years, to an expansion of its facilities, which today cover 33,462 m2, distributed between its Madrid and Barcelona locations, equipped with the most advanced services and resources, both human as well as technical.

On another note, ESADE's noted international outlook has driven the 2003 inauguration of a new senior executive training centre: The Foundation for Business and Social Development in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

  • NEW ESADE-CREAPOLIS CAMPUS

ESADE is currently engaged in one of its most ambitious projects: the creation of ESADE-Creapolis, a new campus situated in Sant Cugat del Vallčs, a town very close to Barcelona. The new campus combines the concepts of 'technology park' and 'science park'.

  • ESADE CAMPUS IN BARCELONA IMPROVED

In parallel with this new project, work has begun to improve and extend ESADE's current facilities in the Pedralbes district of Barcelona. This will provide an extra 2,500 m2 (approx.), with a total investment of 12 million euro.

This new area will mainly be used for academic purposes. It will include new service areas for the faculty, dean, central and administrative services in addition to a civic square. Likewise, ESADE's original headquarters will have a new auditorium with adjoining rooms, which will allow the institution to become a centre for debates on different social and management issues.
