The Five Key Factors of Social Innovation

Another academic year has drawn to a close, and the Institute for Social Innovation is already preparing new research projects. One such project, now going into its third edition, is a study called the Antenna for Social Innovation. In the last edition of the Antenna for Social Innovation, the authors analysed various international social innovation practices and studied them through the lens of five key factors.

Another academic year has drawn to a close, and the Institute for Social Innovation is already preparing new research projects. We are looking forward to coming back next year full of energy to take on the projects we are currently designing. 

One such project, now going into its third edition, is a study called the Antenna for Social Innovation. In recent years, society has become increasingly aware of the importance of innovation and the huge impact it can have on people's lives. Socially innovative initiatives are appearing at both the local and international levels to address many current social needs and problems. 

In the last edition of the Antenna for Social Innovation, the authors analysed various international social innovation practices and studied them through the lens of five key factors:

·          Social transformation and impact
·          Inter-sector collaboration
·          Long-term economic sustainability and viability
·          Type of innovation
·          Scalability and replicability
