The ESADE Master in Finance included in the Financial Times' Top 5 world-wide ranking
For the first time ever, ESADE’s Master in Finance (MSc) is included in the Financial Times’ ranking, listing it amongst the best programmes in the world. Specifically, it enters at number 5 globally, according to the Financial Times which today published its annual ranking of the best Master in Finance programmes depending on recent graduates’ experience. The ESADE programme is aimed at all those who want to give their financial careers an additional boost.
The factor the British newspaper rates most positively about ESADE’s programme is the graduates’ international projection. In this respect, the ESADE programme ranks first world-wide. For Alfred Vernis, Director of ESADE University Programmes, "this clearly reflects the international character of the programme and the well-prepared participants who come from every corner of the globe. Financial companies and organisations positively value the Master’s international and demanding character, along with students’ analytical skills and their interest in ongoing learning, all in today’s quickly-changing times."
When preparing its ranking of Master in Finance programmes, the Financial Times takes into account factors such as the graduates’ professional advancement, the programme and schools’ diversity and the students’ international experience.
First in international careers
The Financial Times positively values the international projection students gain from the programme and ranks the ESADE programme first in this respect. This not only demonstrates the international focus of the programme’s design, but also the multicultural reality of its classrooms. Programme participants come from 42 different countries, including India, Russia, China, Colombia, France and Germany, just to mention a few.
Similarly, FT also gives positive marks to the participants’ international mobility and professional advancement upon completing the programme. In fact, 92% of ESADE Masters of Science (MSc) graduates find work outside of Spain, primarily in Germany, the UK, Switzerland and France. This demonstrates that, despite the current crisis, international companies continue to value the students’ quality education, their global vision and ability to adapt to different job markets.
Amongst the highest salaries
Whether working in Spain or abroad, companies are looking for multilingual professionals with a global and innovative mindset, two aspects which are at the heart of ESADE’s methodology. By developing innovative and socially responsible financial practices, students successfully dominate the technical language required of international finance and develop a global perspective focused on world markets.
The Financial Times also ranks ESADE graduates’ salaries amongst the top 10 compared to those from other programmes participating in the ranking. The average salary for ESADE MSc in Finance graduates three years after completing the programme rises by 23% compared to their salaries the first year. The industries in which graduates work the most include finance (44%), consulting (40%) and technology (8%).
