Nearly 90% of ESADE students find jobs at internationally prestigious companies within three months of graduating
In keeping with the data on falling unemployment in Spain, more than 40 multinationals and 30 globally renowned law firms will be coming to ESADE to recruit talent.
According to figures from the school, 90% of ESADE students find jobs within three months of graduating. Recruitment forums are considered a good platform for young people to enter the job market. The fields registering the highest placement rates as a result of these forums are consulting, marketing, finance, various areas of business development and law. In previous editions, 50% of the opportunities that ultimately became job offers for ESADE graduates originated in the forum.
Analytical capacity, mobility and language skills
This year, some 800 students from various areas of business administration and law will be participating in the ESADE Career Forum. Of this number, more than 450 are enrolled on the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Master in Management (MSc) and CEMS Master’s programmes. The participating students are of variety of nationalities, with the largest numbers coming from Germany, France and Spain.
"Although all kinds of profiles are sought, companies ultimately choose candidates with an outstanding academic background, geographical availability, a willingness to travel, a good command of multiple languages, and strong analytical and communication skills", explained Iain McLaughlin, director of ESADE’s Career Services.
Some of the companies interested in hiring ESADE-trained professionals that are actively participating in this year’s edition include Bertelsmann, EY, Mango, Simon-Kucher & Partners, Inditex, Deloitte, Sanofi, GSK, HP, P&G and Schibsted. This year’s forum will also feature a special recruiting event exclusively for start-ups, such as Typeform, Synergic Partners and PlayBenefit.
Some 84% of law students find jobs in the legal sector
ESADE will be holding its Law Career Forum on the same dates. This forum is based on the same model, but targets a different set of 350 students interested in finding work in the legal sector. In the last two years, graduates of ESADE’s Master in Legal Practice had a job placement rate of between 85 and 90%.
The Law Career Forum attracts some of the most prestigious firms to ESADE Law School, including, amongst others, Allen & Overy, Baker & McKenzie, EY, Garrigues, Gómez-Acebo & Pombo, KPMG and PwC Tax & Legal.
