More than 80% of ESADE students find jobs abroad working for global companies
ESADE Business and Law School students are well received in the international job market. Proof of this is that more than 80% of ESADE graduates found jobs in prestigious global companies abroad during the 2016-2017 academic year. This was the case specifically for nearly 80% of 2016-2017 MSc Programmes in Management participants and exactly 81% of Full-Time MBA graduates.
And, not only do ESADE students find international jobs; they also do so quickly. More than 90% of ESADE students find jobs within three months of completing their programmes. Concretely, 92% of last year’s MSc Programmes in Management and BBA graduates and 90% of Full-Time MBA alumni received job offers within three months of graduating. In terms of ESADE Law School students, 97% of Master in Law programme graduates have already started working.
“These figures allow us to be optimistic about our students’ placement in the years to come,” argued Eugenia Bieto, ESADE Director General. “Despite today’s political instability, companies still need global talent and leaders with a strong ethical foundation who are capable of managing in extremely complex settings,” she added.
Of all the global companies interested in recruiting ESADE programme participants, the five that have hired the most in recent years are McKinsey, BCG, Amazon, Google and Microsoft.
Employability and international competitiveness
ESADE students are recruited around the world, and this will continue to occur in the years to come. In this respect, 81% of Full-Time MBA alumni work outside of Spain. Specifically, 51% work in other European countries (31% in Germany; 14% in the United Kingdom; 10% in Switzerland; 10% in the Netherlands; 10% in France; and 25% in other countries), 17% work in Latin America, 14% in Asia, 10% in the United States, 6% in the Middle East and 2% in Oceania and Africa. Similarly, 79% of 2016 MSc graduates have an international presence.
The technology industry stands out in terms of its demand for MBA graduates (32%). For MSc participants, consulting is the key industry (30%). The latter also has a noteworthy presence amongst BBA graduates (35%) as does finance (35%). In fact, the consulting industry is also amongst the top three industries that recruit talent at ESADE, alongside the technology, general services and communication industries.
Opportunities at job fairs
The job fairs organised by ESADE Careers guarantee graduates’ successful placement upon completing their programmes. In the last few weeks, nearly 80 companies have attended these events, exceeding the number achieved in previous years. Important companies such as the Boston Consulting Group, General Electric, Johnson & Johnson, H&M, PepsiCo and the Clinton Foundation, amongst many others, have taken part in the various activities ESADE has organised to help them find talented professionals.
“Human resource teams, directors of different business areas and alumni have had the opportunity to interact with ESADE MBA, MSc, BBA, Double Degree and CEMS programme participants,” commented Maria José Verastegui, Director of Corporate Development for ESADE Careers. “For students, it’s a unique opportunity to learn about different industries, find out about the professional opportunities they provide and begin to define their new professional futures upon completing their studies,” argued Verastegui.
