ESADE Law School among the world's most innovative schools
ESADE Law School is once again one of the world’s most innovative law schools, according to the Financial Times, which has included it in its ‘91 of the top Masters of Laws providers’ list in its recent 12-page special report Innovative Law Schools.
The publication examines the current context of legal practice, stressing the uncertainties surrounding the future European legal framework as a result of Brexit, which could lead to a decline in European law students at U.K. schools. It also looks at the job market situation with regard to racial and gender balance at firms.
Additionally, the Financial Times highlights possibilities such as practising entrepreneurship law and the need for lawyers to embrace new technology, which, far from harming the profession, augurs a promising future. ‘Technology is creating areas of practice that did not exist 10 years ago’, says Tanina Rostain, a professor at Georgetown Law. However, according to Richard Susskind, a technology adviser and co-author of The Future of the Professions, there needs to be a greater focus on artificial intelligence and globalisation.
