In a context shaped by shifting geopolitical dynamics and the rise of new economic hubs, the demand for professionals capable of navigating cultural and market complexity is rapidly increasing. Responding to this evolution of the global business landscape, Esade is launching two new postgraduate programs with an integrated international structure, centered on immersive study and hands-on experiences in Asia and the Middle East.

The new Global Master in Finance and Global Master in International Management build on the academic rigor and strong career outcomes of Esade’s established Master of Science (MSc) programs, combining a solid analytical foundation with meaningful international exposure. Together, these elements equip emerging professionals with the strategic perspective needed to operate confidently and effectively in today’s interconnected global economy.

A key differentiator of these 15-month Global Master’s programs is their integrated international structure. Students begin their journey in Barcelona, where they complete core and specialized coursework grounded in Esade’s MSc in Finance or MSc in International Management, as well as region-specific courses focused on doing business in Asia or the Middle East. Following these two terms, participants expand their learning on a global scale through a ten week international experience that combines academic modules at the University of Hong Kong (HKU) or the American University in Dubai (AUD), with collaboration on real business challenges alongside local companies.

“These programs embody Esade’s commitment to preparing future leaders for an increasingly global economy,” said Lisa Hehenberger, Dean of Esade Business School. “By combining rigorous academics, strategic partnerships, and real business challenges, students gain an immersive experience that accelerates their professional development from day one.”

The Global Challenge: real-world learning with regional impact

The international experience is anchored by an intensive five-week academic immersion at HKU or AUD, followed by a five-week Global Challenge carried out in collaboration with local organizations. During this period, students work on real business challenges, gaining firsthand exposure to local business culture, leadership styles, and innovation priorities. This hands-on approach allows participants to deepen their understanding of advanced market dynamics, global financial systems, and cross-cultural leadership, while learning alongside local peers and faculty.

Upon returning to Barcelona, students further personalize their learning journey by selecting electives from Esade’s MBA program or completing a professional internship aligned with their career aspirations and industry interests.

The first cohort of the Global Master in Finance and the Global Master in International Management will begin in September 2026. Both programs are designed for top-performing graduates in Business Administration or Economics, while the Global Master in Finance also welcomes candidates with an Engineering background. Together, these programs complement Esade’s existing Master in International Management and Master in Finance, reinforcing the school’s position as a leading destination for globally minded students seeking to master business and finance in an international context.
