ESADE introduces a new English-only Executive MBA with a more global vision
ESADE’s Executive MBA programme is opening another window to the world. Starting in October 2014, the programme will be offered entirely in English, strengthening its multicultural character and markedly international profile. Working alongside classmates from around the globe, Executive MBA students are uniquely positioned to acquire an understanding of other cultures and executive skills that will serve them anywhere in the world.
With a heightened commitment to flexible, customised scheduling, the new English-language Executive MBA will be taught one weekend each month in order to allow students based in other countries to travel to Barcelona and Madrid. With the introduction of an additional “intensification" quarter, students can choose from a broad range of educational offerings to specialise in the field that best suits their professional goals. The programme also offers students the chance to internationalise their careers by studying at prestigious business schools in Europe, Asia and the Americas.
With the introduction of the Executive MBA in English, ESADE aims to maintain its position as one of the world’s top schools. ESADE was recently ranked 3rd in Europe by the Financial Times, and its Executive MBA was named one of the top 5 executive education programmes in Europe by BusinessWeek.
International immersion
A key characteristic of ESADE’s new English-language Executive MBA is its markedly international character. The reality of other countries is taught first-hand: students acquire a wide-ranging vision of the global economy through time spent on the ground in different countries. The programme offers various subjects taught during week-long stays at other schools, including HEC (France), Getúlio Vargas (Brazil), Fudan (China), ISB (India) and Georgetown (USA).
Executive MBA students also have the opportunity to study abroad at some of the world’s most prestigious schools, including Babson College (Boston, USA), New York University (New York City, USA), Kellogg School of Management (Chicago, USA), International University of Japan (Niigata, Japan), Melbourne Business School (Melbourne, Australia) and Adolfo Ibáñez University (Santiago, Chile).
Professional advancement
Today’s economic context requires executives to have a global vision of the world and to be ready for constant change. They need to be open to new challenges and act as agents of change, both in their companies and in the wider economy. The Executive MBA offers students an unparalleled opportunity to make a life-changing, qualitative career transformation. Fully 70% of students in the Spanish-language Executive MBA make a career change within two years of graduating.
In ESADE’s Executive MBA, students are encouraged to implement projects specific to their companies and develop their own business ideas. They have access to various resources for the development of business plans under expert guidance and formal, high-level supervision: the “Business Development Project" subject is a wonderful forum for testing new ideas and concepts, and the ESADE Entrepreneurship Institute provides a wide range of resources for entrepreneurs.
