Dr. Eduardo Berché named Dean of ESADE Law School
Dr. Eduardo Berché, Professor of Financial and Tax Law at ESADE, has been appointed as the new Dean of ESADE Law School (Ramon Llull University). Dr. Berché will be taking over from Dr. Enric R. Bartlett at the start of the 2013-2014 academic year and will remain in the post for a charter-stipulated four-year term of office.
As Dean of ESADE Law School, Dr. Berché will draw on his extensive academic experience as a lecturer and professor of financial and tax law at ESADE, as well as more than 25 years of experience in the private sector, particularly his tenure as managing partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers's tax and legal office in Barcelona. With this appointment, ESADE has confirmed yet again its commitment to transforming the Law School into a world-class training centre specialised in business law.
Dr. Berché set out his priorities for his term as Dean of ESADE Law School: "I will work to promote the excellence not only of our faculty but also of our students, to ensure that ESADE's classrooms are the place where the best talent meets face to face. I will champion internationalisation in the training of global lawyers – already an imperative in the field. And I will link this academic training to the economic reality and to the companies where our students will be working after they graduate."
The start of Dr. Berché's term of office coincides with ESADE Law School's 20th anniversary.
