Multidisciplinary courses powered by Fusion Point
Fusion Point fuels various courses and each course is an opportunity to implement and test novel tools and approaches whereby multidisciplinary student teams work together to generate creative ideas and concrete innovative solutions.
Creativity
This course is an intensive 5-week journey that starts with a challenge presented by a company and ends up with solution concepts with initial feedback from users. The main objective is to help students develop their creative problem solving skills, as well as their ability to move from conceptual thinking to the practical steps required for initial idea implementation.

EXPAND
The course is part of EXPAND Erasmus+ project and will result in a challenge-based accelerator for social innovation for university students and teaching staff, focused on tackling major societal problems.

Fusion Point supports the design and development of this challenge-based program where students develop tangible new solutions with a sustainable impact.

Attract Academy courses
ATTRACT Academy forms part of the ATTRACT initiative, and offers various student programs, in which students work together with selected research groups across Europe to work collaboratively to find novel applications for cutting edge detection and imaging technologies.
Fusion Point coordinates Esade’s participation in the student programs of ATTRACT Academy, collaborating with the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and the Instituto Europeo di Design, TUDelft, and Laurea to form multi-disciplinary teams for the programs.
Challenge-Based Innovation (CBI)
The course brings together multidisciplinary student teams work to tackle societal challenge in line with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), while leveraging the technologies and knowledge at CERN in Geneva.

Technology for Social Innovation (TeSI)
In this course, students are introduced to technologies from selected European Research Centers and work, supported by scientists developing the technology, to find potential applications in solving social challenges.

Challenge-based Innovation for Artificial Intelligence (CBI4AI)
Multidisciplinary teams of students work on technologies developed by the ATTRACT project coordinated by CERN, matching these with specific human needs and societal challenges, with particular focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI).
