Momentum Project

The Momentum Project was a joint initiative launched by ESADE and BBVA with support from PwC. It ran from 2011 to 2016, and its aim was to promote social entrepreneurship. To achieve this end, the project focused on two areas: creating a programme to consolidate and further the impact of these initiatives and an ecosystem to support social entrepreneurs.

The aim of the project was to help to develop social entrepreneurship through a programme and support ecosystem to thus enable the most promising social entrepreneurship initiatives to consolidate themselves, grow and scale up their impact. The ultimate aim was to help society to use its economic resources to implement sustainable and systemic solutions, promoting equal opportunities for citizens, improving the lives for the most disadvantaged sectors of society and re-establishing the environmental and social equilibrium.

The project’s experience and learning served as the basis for several publications of interest for entrepreneurs and social enterprises.
