This publication presents research conducted during the 2018-2019 academic year in the Esade-PwC Social Leadership Program. The research focuses on leadership in NGOs and identifies latest trends and the skills needed by future leaders in the sector to achieve the greatest impact for their organizations. The document explains what NGO leadership should look like in order to adapt to the complexity of today's environment and overcome the challenges facing the sector. In short, it answers the key question: what elements will be needed for good leadership in the sector? The publication also provides tools and guidelines to develop these elements in organizations, the sector’s vision of itself (survey), and a selection of cases and inspiring examples of good practices.
