This guide summarizes the work – focused on digital transformation in NGOs – conducted during the 2016-17 academic year by the Esade-PwC Social Leadership Program. The third sector, like the business world, must adapt and evolve quickly to cope with the challenges posed by changes that are, in part, due to technological innovations. Digitalization goes far beyond mere technological transformation, and with these challenges come new opportunities to improve the impact and efficiency of the third sector. This report is an important starting point for analyzing the challenges of digital transformation for all social organizations: attracting resources; transforming programs and services; and improving process efficiency.
