Isla Ramos (Save The Children): “Moving from the private sector to the social sector taught me many lessons in humility”

The CEO of Save The Children and Esade alumna returns to her school to take part in ‘Visions with Impact’, the series of conversations that connects students with faculty members of the institution to discuss her career path and vision of leadership.
“It is not common to see someone with your background in the technology sector make the leap into the social sphere”, the professor reflects. To which Isla replies that, although it may seem abrupt, it was a considered step that had been developing for a long time: “I loved the technology sector, but I needed a change. I made the move at a time when I felt strong. That is when these decisions should be made, never when you are running away from something.”
