Interview with Daniel Arenas: "Ignoring the challenges of the energy transition is not a solution to solving them"
Daniel Arenas is an Associate Professor in the Department of Society, Politics and Sustainability at Esade, Ramon Llull University (URL). He holds a PhD and MA from the Committee on Social Thought at the University of Chicago, a degree in Philosophy from the University of Barcelona (UB), and a diploma from Esade’s Executive Development Programme.
He teaches Sociology, Business Ethics, and Corporate Social Responsibility. His research focuses on business ethics, stakeholder theory, corporate social responsibility, and the interaction between social movements and business activity. He is also interested in political philosophy and aesthetics. He has been a professor at Esade since 2002, and his work has been published in journals such as Organization Studies, Academy of Management Review, and Business Ethics Quarterly.
In this interview, Daniel Arenas shares his views on employee participation in decision-making, the role of social movements, the challenges of the energy transition, and the difficulties faced by SMEs under environmental regulation.
