On Tuesday, November 14th took place the book presentation of ‘‘Testigo de un tiempo incierto: De la caída del Muro a la invasión de Ucrania’’, written by Javier Solana and awarded with the Premio Espasa 2023.

The event was held at the Espacio Fundación Telefónica (Madrid) while it was also broadcast in streaming. The attendance register was made of more than two hundred people, including Félix Bolaños (Minister of the Presidency, Relations with the Courts and Democratic Memory), María Jesús Montero (Minister of Finance and Public Function) and Luis Planas (Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food).

Throughout a conversation with the journalist Soledad Gallego-Díaz Fajardo, Javier Solana addressed the main historical milestones that have characterized his political career, the trajectory of relations between Europe and Russia, the conclusions that can be drawn from the tensions between China and the United States and the new geopolitical scenario distinguished by the rise of the Global South.

The presentation was also attended by Carmen Morenés (General director of Fundación Telefónica) and David Cebrián (Director of Espasa) and was followed by a book signing by the author.
