Spain’s 2021 budget: a realistic assessment

The macroeconomic picture on which the Spanish government bases its 2021 budget is too optimistic, both forecasting the execution of European funds and the evolution of the pandemic.

As a consequence, at EsadeEcPol we estimate that next year’s economic growth will be slightly higher than half of what the government expects, closer to 6% than 10%.
