What is good, what is questionable and what is missing in Spain’s vaccination strategy

The vaccine is the only clear solution to the pandemic that Spain and the rest of the world can see. All in all, we are not doing at all badly, but the vaccination rate is still not sufficient to immunise the whole of Spain before the beginning of the school year in September. Furthermore, there are considerable differences from one region to the next due to a lack of criteria and processes to be set in motion.

Finally, the next phases of vaccination have yet to be established once front-line health workers and care-dependent persons have been covered. In this next phase, dividing vaccination between green and red zones and introducing other criteria based on vulnerability could prove to be very effective.
