Notegraphy receives 375,000 euros in funding through ESADE BAN
The Barcelona-based start-up Notegraphy – makers of an app that allows users to customise what they write and share on Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp – has received €375,000 in funding through the business angels network ESADE BAN.
Thanks to additional investments from Caixa Capital Risc and Kibo Ventures, Notegraphy has raised a total of €575,000. The start-up now plans to expand internationally, with a focus on growth in specific regions of North America and Asia.
"Notegraphy has the opportunity to grow internationally," explains Carles Florensa, principal investor and spokesman for ESADE BAN, who participated in the round of financing. "We have a winning team and a winning product, and we are motivated to find the right formula to attract users and get them to come back often in a cost-effective manner. After that, the business model will be implemented naturally."
More than 400,000 users
Since launching its app one year ago, Notegraphy has seen its number of registered users swell to 400,000 worldwide, with 20% based in the United States. "We’re very happy and ready to make Notegraphy really take off," says Marzban Cooper, CEO and co-founder of the start-up. "In 2015, we expect strong growth from North America and emerging markets, especially China."
In the words of co-founders Marzban Cooper and Rafa Soto, Notegraphy "makes everything you write and share online much more beautiful". In addition to actively seeking new growth opportunities for the app, the co-founders are working with strategic partners to develop income models.
The start-up was originally incubated in herraizsoto & co, a creative boutique that has won numerous awards and developed projects such as OmmWriter and Stickwithmebaby.
