Our Executive MBA in an Online (blended) learning format
With a total of 400h contact hours, students combine classes on Friday afternoon or Saturday afternoon (European time) with four face to face periods and one international immersion week (plus two optional).
The program learning experience is articulated around:
Live on-line sessions
Friday afternoons or Saturday afternoons (Central Europe Time).
4 Residential Module Weeks
Which take place on the Esade campuses in Barcelona and Madrid, where the face-to-face courses will be held.
3 international immersion experiences
One International Immersion Week* is compulsory for all students, in either Europe, Asia, and the US, as well as two additional optional international immersion weeks.

Autonomous work
Autonomous self-directed work will be designed in preparation for the live on-line courses, to ensure maximization of learning. Autonomous learning will be individual and/or team-based, and it will always provide the best guidance to ensure the highest quality learning.

The Executive MBA Online (Blended) Format will enhance the learning processes by bringing diverse viewpoints, drawing from the different backgrounds and expertise.
Flexible and Diverse
The new Executive MBA On-line (Blended) program gives you the option of taking live on-line courses either on Friday afternoon or Saturday morning:
- Friday, from 4 pm to 7.30 pm (CET/CEST)
- Saturday, from 2 pm to 5.30 pm (CET/CEST)
You can choose when to connect to the live on-line sessions which best matches your time zone, for a total of 3 hours of class time.
Meet our EMBA participants
A modern mix: Executive MBA online + offline
Classes are generally structured as follows:
- START: LIVE ON-LINE SESSIONS to start off classes, requiring students to complete assignments on their own before each session
- MIDDLE WAY: IN-PERSON CLASSES ON CAMPUS as part of the residential weel modules
- END: LIVE ON-LINE SESSIONS to finalize the learning process, the aim being to maximize students’ assimilation of knowledge and skills.
Some courses are designed to be 100% on-line, with autonomous work, and some courses will be held 100% face to face during the residential week modules. Please see the schedule for more details.
Your Executive MBA, your way
The EMBA Online (Blended) program puts you in control of your learning.
You can choose the duration of the program, extending it from 18 to 24 months depending on the electives you select.
And you can choose when to study midweek, ensuring minimum disruption to your existing professional and personal commitments.
Global experience
The EMBA Online (Blended) Program includes the same global learning opportunities as our other Executive MBA formats do.
There is an International Immersion Week included in the program* (Europe) and two additional optional international immersion weeks (North America and Asia). You will also have the opportunity to choose to take some electives abroad in one of our partner business schools.

Esade - Campus Barcelona
The Esade Executive MBA takes place on the Executive campus in Barcelona. Located in the Pedralbes neighborhood, just 15 minutes by car or 30 minutes by bike from the city center.
All executive programs and the Full Time MBA are also held on this campus, allowing Executive MBA participants to share a very global and international environment.
