From the future as a threat

Del futuro como amenaza

What do we expect from a government today? To defend us from the future and manage a present that is bearable. We no longer wish for things to improve, but simply not to get worse. We talk a lot about changes (accelerated, otherwise it would not be necessary) and tremendous novelties, but without realizing that, at the same time, we have gone from talking about models of society to talking about societies without models. Social movements, which once held the heritage of emerging trends, speak more about the dangers that surround us than about the desirable future. The future is no longer experienced or presented as an announcement of a better life. The future has become a threat.
