Paul Cahu
An engineer with a degree from Centrale Paris and a PhD in Economics, Paul Cahu specializes in the study of education quality. After completing a thesis on education financing in Peru, he joined the World Bank and later the European Investment Bank. For two decades, he has worked in more than thirty education systems across five continents. He designs and tests systems for measuring educational quality, organizes surveys and experiments, and studies the strengths and weaknesses of systems, mainly in developing countries, but also in Europe. His latest book, Ideas for Re-enchanting Primary School, aims to convince municipal teams that it is possible to improve the lives and learning of schoolchildren with simple, inexpensive, and uncontroversial measures.
