Dean of ESADE Business School Alfons Sauquet re-elected to the board of GMAC
Professor Alfons Sauquet, Dean of ESADE Business School, has been re-elected to the Board of Directors of the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). His term will start on 1st July and he will be serving the board for the next four years.
"The GMAC plays a key role connecting talent and meeting the needs of management schools and students throughout the world," said Professor Sauquet. "I look forward to contributing to GMAC's mission of promoting the value of management education and embracing the challenges of education in a rapidly changing world."
The election took place at the GMAC's Annual Business Meeting on 19th June, which marked the organisation's 60th anniversary.
This year's election welcomed a new chair, Dina Dommett, from London Business School, and two new board members: Toby McChesney of Georgia State University, and Michael Hardin of The University of Alabama.
The new board will play an important role in implementing GMAC's strategies of expanding globally and promoting the value of management education.
The Graduate Management Admission Council is a non-profit education organisation of leading graduate business schools and owner of the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT exam), used by more than 5,800 graduate business and management programmes worldwide.
GMAC is based in Reston, Virginia, and has regional offices in London, New Delhi and Hong Kong.
The GMAT exam – the only standardised test expressly designed for graduate business and management programmes worldwide – is continuously available at more than 570 test centres in 110 countries.
