Participants will acquire the basis for a career in firms heavily involved in innovation and research. In addition, they will be provided with a suitable preparation to access doctoral programmes at leading universities worldwide. The MRes has been designed with strong foundations in both managerial theories and research methodologies. In addition, the MRes in Management Sciences is closely aligned to ESADE's faculty research interests and general lines of research. Many research projects fail due to a lack of knowledge about how to correctly manage research activities. For this reason, ESADE's Master of Research is focused on providing individual candidates with the necessary skills to be able to manage research and innovation projects and institutions focused on research and innovation.

The main objective of the MRes is for participants to attain the following competences:

. To develop a solid conceptual framework for dealing with the subjects and challenges of the global knowledge society.
. To demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of analytical skills, research design and methodology.
. To be able to formulate research questions and identify knowledge gaps.
. To effectively and clearly communicate orally and in writing.
. To be trained to manage research projects, groups and research-oriented institutions.
. To be equipped to take on intellectually demanding positions in industry, consultancy and public services.
