EQUIP: ESADE Quick Immersion Platform


Explore industry trends, interact with industry leaders, challenge their ideas and propose your solutions to existing problems. EQUIP gives you an opportunity to get in touch with industry leaders and enrich your learning experience with practical aspects of a particular industry.

The EQUIP project started with the information and communication technology (ICT) industry in 2015. The leaders of the project have ambitious plans to expand it into other industries, including finance, FMCG, healthcare, automotive and energy. The main goal of EQUIP is to keep students in close personal contact with business leaders and explain the specific industry trends and perspectives.

GSMA Mobile Ecosystem Case Challenge
GSMA, the London-based global trade organization for the mobile industry, kindly provided ESADE MBA students with an exclusive case question to work on a strategy for mobile operators in 2025. The winner had the chance to give a presentation to senior representatives of mobile operators. Ten teams registered for the challenge; each team included at least one professional with an ICT background.

Guest speaker sessions
Six guest speakers from leading companies from all over the world visited ESADE for sessions on the internet of things (IoT), latest mobile apps such as e-health and infrastructure, recent trends and their entrepreneurial experience with mobile applications. The ESADE students learned about the recent projects of the Catalan government, Barcelona’s Smart City 2015 strategy and the efforts of the Agbar Group in corporate venture capital activities.

GSMA Mobile Congress
Thanks to the sponsorship of NTT DOCOMO and Zain, more than 80 students participated in the GSMA Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the biggest mobile industry exhibition in the world, which attracts 100,000 industry professionals each year. Participants had a chance to see the latest technologies of leading telecommunication operators and vendors, take guided tours, and personally meet executives from Huawei, Cisco and Nokia.
