CIO Advanced Program

In collaboration with:

The program is based on four main areas:

  • Leadership: development of the knowledge and skills needed to lead information technology management by improving relational abilities and maximising the value of technology.

  • Governance: understanding the value added by technology so that it is perceived as a strategic resource that brings efficiency, flexibility, and differentiation – as well as encouraging the creation of value in the form of new businesses. We have emphasised the aspects of governance that illustrate how the maturity of technological architecture and various sourcing models help generate value.

  • Relational capabilities and influence: understanding the relational aspects of management and teamwork, paying special attention to the relationship between chief information officers and chief executive officers – as well as relationships with other functional departments, management committees, and colleagues.

  • Real and practical transformation: an in-company program that consists of a 100-day project studying the role of information technology and communication in the participant’s organisation. This is an opportunity to put into practice the knowledge acquired during the course, and there will be sufficient feedback to make a real transformation possible – according to the needs of each organisation.

This rigorous program combines the expertise and consolidated experience of ESADE lecturers with the practical knowledge of Penteo specialists in analysing information technology issues and trends.

The methodology places the participant at the centre of the learning process, and actively encourages an exchange of experiences between participants and lecturers – as well as with the invited directors who will contribute throughout the program.

This program is designed to facilitate the practical application of course content. The 100-Pay Project will individually assess the status of information technology in each organisation, and individualised support processes will be implemented to improve the management skills of participants.

In addition to the seven teaching sessions and the project presentation session, participants will have ten hours of personal contact with their tutors outside of class hours.

A digital technology platform is available for participants and lecturers to make the learning process as enriching as possible.
