Session 1:
30th November, 2010
“New Marketing and Sales Practices”
Professor: Lluís Martínez-Ribes
4 pm – 8 pm Classroom session: One of the roles executives play involves giving shape to the future; as such, innovation is no longer just an option. Though trusting in best practices is not a bad strategy, this session focuses on some elements of the so-called next practices, providing examples to demonstrate that innovation is both possible and profitable.
8.15 pm – 11 pm CEO Forum: Moderated by Mr. José M. Vilas
Session 2:
19th January, 2011
“The Economic Setting and its Implications for Corporate Financial Management”
Professors: Xavier Mena, Jordi Fabregat and Jesús Palau
4 pm – 8 pm Classroom session: Professor Mena will review the economic situation at the time the class is given, as has always been done in the SEP and AMP programs. Professors Fabregat and Palau will then debate with participants on the implications this “new setting” has for corporate financing.
8.15 pm – 11 pm CEO Forum: Related to the topic at hand and with the participation of a visiting executive (confirmation pending).
Session 3:
8th June, 2011
“Management or Leadership? Learning to Work on the Whys”
Professor: Ángel Castiñeira
4 pm – 8 pm Classroom session: Developing leadership involves more qualitative than quantitative work. It implies working more on the vital whys than the operational hows, though leadership begins with an inspiring what. This search for our own personal purpose can be painful and, at times, contrary to the activities executives generally carry out. This session thus proposes a conversation with the speaker on the challenges of leadership training.
8.15 pm – 11 pm CEO Forum: Related to the topic at hand and with the participation of a visiting executive (confirmation pending).
