Fundació ESADE was the result of the initiative and enterprising vision of a group of entrepreneurs and professionals. Their determination, coupled with the experience of the Society of Jesus, was the perfect combination for the creation of a new project: a school for training management professionals. This enterprising character forms part of ESADE's DNA.
Created in 1997, the ESADE Entrepreneurship Institute (EEI) aims to link teaching, research and social entrepreneurship activities, in order to reinforce them and allow the institute to become an international point of reference. The ESADE-Ramon Llull Research Group in Entrepreneurship (GRIE) is recognised as a consolidated research group. It is made up of researchers working in the field of organising business ventures, business growth, promotion of corporate entrepreneurship and family businesses. The results of its research have been presented at international conferences and have generated various doctoral theses, which have been published in scientific articles in leading journals and in other formats such as books and reports. In collaboration with ESADE Alumni the EEI aims to help create new projects and promote social debate on the future of entrepreneurship and on how it can help promote and foster its development.
Moreover, the new ESADE Creapolis complex provides another location in which the creation of science-based companies can be fostered.
Fifty years after ESADE was founded, we want to continue inspiring futures and fostering the enterprising spirit, in order to create a more developed and socially just society.
