The Exchange came about in reaction to a growing awareness of the current knowledge gap on existing education and training initiatives on corporate responsibility in companies, business schools and other organisations in Europe as well as the need for researchers, business school officials and practitioners to freely network and share ideas.

There are a lot of excellent initiatives out there and the Exchange provides an opportunity to learn from, and celebrate, some amazing implementations and profiles of corporate responsibility in action.
Structured as an open, informal "marketplace" the founding objective is to create an interactive forum that brings together business, academia and other interested parties facilitating the sharing of new ideas, mutual learning and the celebration of success stories.

Some 120 presentations have been presented by Companies, Business Schools and Universities, Training Providers and International Organisations and Networks during the two very successful events organized.

This year the Open Forum Exchange will have a special focus on Executive Education and In Company Training initiatives.
