Objectives
  • The vision is to contribute to an improvement of organizations and companies through design management.

    The mission consists of being an international reference as a source of knowledge and a centre for training and for exchange of information on design management.

    The Chair has the following objectives:

    ·                 Sensitize the world of business and of organizations in general to the advantages of the use of design.

    ·                  Bring together supply and demand for design.

    ·                  Improve the efficacy and the efficiency of design management in organizations.

    ·                 Help Design Directors and Managers to achieve excellence in their profession.

    ·                 Carry out research on the importance of design in organizations and on how to improve its management.

    ·                  Compile, organize and circulate the body of knowledge in relation to this subject.

    ·                 Educate and promote an interaction between Design Managers, Managers of companies and organizations and those responsible for design promotion policies.

    ·                 Be the public defender of the cultural, social and economic importance of design in organizations.

    To summarize, the aim of the Chair is to create a future in which good design improves the world of products, of communication and of the environment of organizations, a future in which design is managed correctly and in which all organizations, companies and managers see design as a tool of innovation and a key part of their strategy.
