Solidarity-based initiatives

Not only does studying at ESADE single you out as an excellent entrepreneur, but it also marks you as a professional who carries out his/her work in accordance with certain ethical values, who thinks of the good of the whole society.
In ESADE you are able to reinforce this aspect of your education with an intensely humane experience, participating in solidarity-based initiatives offered by the SUD, Reprieve and VALOR programmes, which are also recognised as university credits on your syllabus.

  • The University Development Service (SUD) enables you to carry out internships in business development projects in Bolivia, Guatemala, Nicaragua and El Salvador.

  • The Reprieve programme akes you to the United States, where you will provide legal defence to death row prisoners who lack resources.

  • In the Volunteering and Responsible Local Outreach (VALOR) programme, you will provide legal aid to NGOs involved in the fight against the social exclusion of certain collectives. Throughout the programme, not only do students receive support from a faculty member but also guidance from tutors from the NGO providing the service.

The SUD experience of Ana Raviña

Thanks to the SUD internships, from a professional point of view, you can carry out consulting projects where you can apply the knowledge you have acquired and see the real impact that your work has on the organisations you are helping. As far as the personal aspect is concerned, the internships make you reflect on how intangible aspects are often undervalued in western societies, where moral values such as solidarity, kindness and gratefulness are so often forgotten, but are still very much part of the culture of the countries SUD operates in.
