Teresa Duplá appointed Editorial Committee Vice Chair of international Roman law journal

The ESADE law professor will serve as a strategic advisor to enhance RIDROM International Review of Roman Law’s international positioning

Teresa Duplá, Professor at ESADE Law School and Director of the Research Group on Conflict Management, has been appointed Vice Chair of the Editorial Committee at the journal RIDROM International Review of Roman Law.

Her new role at this leading law journal will be to act as a strategic advisor and provide guidance to enhance the publication’s international positioning strategy.

“My role will be to contribute to RIDROM’s external positioning and to further the journal’s indexing by expanding its presence in leading international databases,” says Prof. Duplá.

Established nine years ago, the journal has already gained a strong international reputation and is already included in top indexing databases such as LATINDEX, ERIH PLUS, CIRC and MTMT (Hungarian Academy of Science).

Created under the auspices of the Ibero-American Association of Roman Law and the University of Castilla-La ManchaRIDROM publishes academic research in the areas of Roman law, Roman tradition and historical-juridical sciences.

The aim of RIDROM is to overcome all geographical frontiers and become a leading academic publication within its field. In order to achieve this, the quality of all contributions is guaranteed through rigorous evaluation by researchers of accredited prestige and reputation.

About Teresa Duplá

Teresa Duplá joined ESADE Law School in 1994, the year it was founded. She was actively involved in the school’s creation and development process from the outset. She has held various management positions, including Undergraduate Programme Director, Associate Dean, member of the Steering Board and Academic Board (Ramon Llull University), and member of the Executive Board of ESADE.

Prof. Duplá teaches Introduction to Private Law, Inheritance Law, Conflict Management, Mediation and Negotiation. She currently heads the ESADE Research Group on Conflict Management, which is recognised by the Catalan Government and focuses on the implementation of projects related to conflict analysis, alternative management systems, and the creation of efficient systems and models of conflict management in companies and institutions. She was director of the Department of Private Law from 2013 to 2015.

She is a board member at the International and Ibero-American Association of Roman Law, a member of the Statute Reform Commission at FC Barcelona (since 2011) and a member of the neutral point of Barcelona created by the European Association of Judges for Mediation (GEMME).
